I love trying out new makeup and sharing my favorite finds! One of my favorite new everyday eye shadow palettes is by Paula Dorf Cosmetics and it's called the Aztec City Palette! It has five shadow colors ranging from cream, to gray/blue, to light purple to tan and brown. I love this palette because you can easily mix and match shades to get the perfect look! My favorite eye shadow colors are always purple and brown - so those are my favorite from this kit. I really like that the purple is slightly shimmery, it's a really pretty look. The shadow goes on light but is easy to build upon, which is exactly how you want it!
For this look, I primed my eyes with foundation and then did two light coats of the purple shadow. I then used a shadow brush dipped in brown get under the crease of my eye. I lined my eyes and applied Paula Dorf mascara in teal for a fun twist!

I like this look - I think it's perfect for everyday. I also like to vary this look up by using the tan instead of the purple and blending it into the brown. It's subtle and easy to put on in a rush.. and for me, most mornings I'm in a rush!!!
Verdict: I also love this palette because it comes with a really nice two sided shadow brush. One side is more of a shadow/crease brush, so you can use it to line your eyes and or accent your crease with a second color. The second side is a traditional shadow brush. The palette also includes a nice mirror on the inside, so you can apply or touch up on the go. Everything clicks inside the palette so this is something you can easily throw in your bag in the morning if you're the type that does your makeup in the parking lot!
I really enjoyed trying out these products and it's no surprise that they have a lot of fans! Paula Dorf Cosmetics has received a variety of accolades over the years including multiple "Allure Best of Beauty" awards. The brand is also a favorite of celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Sandra Bullock, Debra Messing and Reneé Zellweger! Awesome!
