One of my biggest complaints about running outside is not being able to carry things with me. I've tried arm bands, putting my phone in a pocket, and just holding it in my hand. All of those are not great options. I have never found a comfortable arm band - and the other options just aren't really practical. So I was really excited when I heard about the FlipBelt!The FlipBelt is a stretchy belt made of quick drying fabric. You step into it and pull it over your hips. It fits snugly to your body so it moves with you. I can fit all of my essentials: a key, id, phone/mp3 player and Mace. I don't typically carry that much with me, but it does all fit! Normally I run with my phone in the right side slit (I usually push it in further but I wanted you to be able to see it). The belt is three inches wides and is designed to fit most cell phones. I have an iPhone 4S in a rubber case and I'm able to just plug in my headphones and slide it in there. I slide the belt to the right so I can have my headphones behind my back.
The first time I ran with the Flip Belt I could not believe how free I felt. I could run without anything weighing me down or sliding down my arm! The belt is also really convenient. I can pull my phone out to pause my running app or switch songs, and then slip it back in without having to stop running!The FlipBelt is perfect for the warmer months when you don't necessarily have pockets or when you're just more active. I use it for running and the gym but it would be great to wear when walking the dog or doing yard work.
The belt is machine washable/dryable and made of a high quality fabric that stretches to fit. I can wear it higher on my waist or lower around my hips. You can wear it open (as pictured) so that you have better access to your items - or you can flip it inside out so that the openings are on the inside and your items are even more secure. I have used the Flipbelt multiple times now and I have never really felt the need to flip my FlipBelt. Everything has been really secure and fit comfortably, but it's nice to know that the option is there.
Verdict: I love my FlipBelt and don't know how I ever ran without it! I am looking forward to buying a few of these for Christmas for all of the runners in my family!
