Get the Look: Kendall Jenner's Bold Blue Cat Eye!

I have worn liquid eyeliner almost daily since I was 15. It's my thing. And typically I go black, and usually with a cat eye. So when my friends at Mary Kay asked me to try out Kendall Jenner's look- I couldn't refuse! What can I say? I'm a sucker for a bold eye look!

Here's Kendall's look:

And here's mine:

I had a really hard time photographing this look. I had my husband take about 100 pictures! So please forgive me - but you get the idea! Also, I wore this on a casual day, so ignore my messy hair!

So how did I recreate this look? The first thing you want to remember is when you're going bold with one feature, you want to stay natural on your other makeup choices. Otherwise you'll overdo it. Keeping this in mind, I began by using a neutral eye shadow across my whole eyelid. Then I swiped on Mary Kay At Play™ Bold Fluid Eyeliner in Blue My Mind. I start at the inside corner and work my way to the outside corner. To get a cat eye, you just keep going in a continuous line at the end of your eye. It's super easy, I'm not sure why people are so intimidated by a cat eye!? I then put a generous 2-3 coats of  Mary Kay Lash, Love Lengthening Mascara in Black  to my top lashes.

As for the rest of my face, I kept it pretty neutral, I applied a light powder foundation and dabbed Mary Kay Cream Blush in Sheer Bliss to the apples of my cheeks. I looove Mary Kay's cream blush - that is probably one of my favorite products this season. It's super smooth to put on, goes on lightly so you can build up your color, and has really good staying power. The color is really nice and natural so I can even combine it with my every day bronzer if I want without looking too made up.

To finish the look off I applied a nice coat of Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Au Naturel. This is a pretty, light gloss that looks awesome but doesn't take away from a bold eye.

Some of the tools I used to recreate this look:

Verdict: I really liked this look and thought it was a fun look for a weekend or for a night out. I work in a conservative office so I don't think I'd wear this to work everyday, but definitely will add it to my makeup rotation!
