Red Envelope Review!

I'm not sure about you but I'm already making a dent into my Christmas shopping. I promised myself this year I would start early (July!) It's amazing how much more creative you can be when you aren't down to the wire during Christmas week!
If you haven't started shopping yet,  I'd like to share with you a very cool gift site called Red Envelope. They have a ton of Christmas gifts for everyone on your list!

I was recently given the opportunity to sample some treats from Red Envelope. My husband and I were thrilled to try the Autumn Bites Box and the Handmade Sea Salt Caramels. Everything was delicious! They came beautifully gift wrapped and shipping was quick! The Autumn Bites Box included two brownies (one double fudge, one toffee fudge) , three six packs of cookies (6 milk chocolate chip, 6 semi-sweet chocolate chip with nuts, and 6 triple chocolate), and a large pumpkin shaped iced sugar cookie. All of the "bites" were extraordinary. Though small, each packed quite a punch. The first thing my husband and I did was to split the toffee fudge brownie. It was so dense & tasty, we were satisfied with a half a piece! The toffee  brownie was fudgy, rich and decadent. The toffee notes were subtle but sweet - and this treat gave new meaning to the phrase "fudge brownie." These truly are not your everyday sweets - they were definitely more high end, and would make a very classy gift.
The chocolate/chocolate chip cookies were small but also very tasty. We even warmed them up in the microwave for a few seconds and they tasted like they were fresh out of the oven. I also really enjoyed the large sugar cookie. It was soft and basically melted in your mouth. I'd love a box full of those cookies!!!

And last but not least the salted caramels were divine. I love caramels but had never tasted any that were of this quality before. These tasted as if they came right out of your grandmother's kitchen and she cut them up right in front of you! The salt is a nice touch because it adds a depth to the flavor.

Red Envelope does not only sell edible gifts however. They sell everything from wine aerators and jewelry to gifts for housewarmings, baby showers and weddings! My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the products we reviewed from Red Envelope and will definitely consider them for gifts in the future!
