Review: Freeze It!

Hairspray? Are you using it? Apparently I grew up living under a rock or something because I never knew that people used hairspray on a daily basis! In my mind, I always thought it was for special occasions like dance recitals, proms and weddings. You know, when you wear an updo. Come to find out --- there is a lot more to hairspray than I thought. My friends at Freeze It offered to let me try their product out and see if I would be convinced.

The situation went something like this....  it was a humid day AND it was drizzling out... which on most days means I'm skipping the flat iron and going for a pony tail. (Why bother!?) But... I had the bottle of Freeze It Mega Freeze in my medicine cabinet.  It says right on the bottle that it is humidity resistant so I figured it was worth a try! So I dried my hair and straightened it with the flat iron. Then I sprayed the Freeze It in my hair. Apparently I sprayed on too much, because I instantly thought I was going to have to wash my hair and start all the way over. Then I remembered that I read somewhere that if you overdo it with hairspray to just blast your hair with the hairdryer for a few  seconds.

 And my hair looked perfect:

(Okay, as perfect as this bathroom mirror shot can make it look!) ;)

But seriously, my hair looked shiny and was significantly less frizzy then on a normal day. And you know what? It really helped keep my hair straight. My hair isn't super wavy or anything, but usually within a few hours of straightening it it relaxes a little. Not with Freeze It Mega Freeze!

A little about the product (from their web site):
The Freeze It Mega Freeze Hair Spray is a humidity resistant (perfect for summer!) aerosol spray that protects and enhances hair color, dries hair faster and gives hair a healthy shine.
Verdict: I am very happy with Freeze It and can honestly say I have converted to using this hairspray on a daily basis!!!

Buy it: Freeze It is available at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kmart, Walmart & Kroger or directly from the Freeze It website !
