I saw very few deals at Big Y this week so this week's shopping was done at Price Rite. Often when I only have time to go to one store I'll shop here (even though they don't accept coupons) because I can get better prices on essentials. I am pretty stocked right now so I only really needed some produce:
Transaction 1:
- 1 - Package of Chicken Tenders ($1.99lb) = $3.42
- 1 - Perdue Shortcuts =$.99
- 1 - Box of Spring Mix Salad = $2.29
- 1 - Broccoli Crown (.53lb @ $.99lb) = $.52
- 1 - Bag of Green Beans (.43lb @ $.99lb) = $.43
- 1 - Head of Garlic (.19lb @ $2.49lb) = $.47
- 1 - Cucumber = $.50
- 2 - Oranges (@ 3/$1.00) = $.67
- 4 - Bananas (1.42lb @ $.49 lb) = $.70
- 2 - Lemons (@ 3/$1.00) = $.66
- 1 - Half & Half = $1.99
- 1 - Gallon of Milk = $2.99
Transaction 2:
The Perdue shortcuts didn't have a price on them, so once I saw they rang in at $.99 I ran back in and bought 7 more! These are great for last minute meals, for chicken salad, pizza or salad toppings, tacos and more! The 10 oz packs usually run about $3.99 (sale price) at most grocery stores, so for $.99, this 6 oz is an awesome deal!
- 7 - Perdue Shortcuts (@$.99) = $6.93
Total Remaining in January 2012 $150 monthly grocery budget: $127.44
I haven't been blogging about my $150 grocery budget recently - should I bring it back? Please let me know!
1 gave me some sugar:
Please bring back your shopping trips - I miss them - you always get such great deals!
