Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

My husband loved these chocolate peanut butter bars! The best thing about them? I had everything I needed right in my stockpile! DH and I both loved this recipe. It was really easy and tasted great! I will definitely make this again!

Ingredients:
  • 1 - cup granulated sugar
  • 1 - cup light corn syrup
  • 1 - cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 6 - cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 - cups of chocolate chips

In a large saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter. Cook over medium/low heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Add the six cups of Rice Krispies and stir to combine. Press mixture into a greased 9x13 bar pan or baking dish. Melt the chocolate chips (about 2 minutes in the microwave) and spread over the top of the bars. Place bars in fridge for a few minutes until chocolate sets.

I got this recipe from my Taste of Home Five Ingredient or Less Cookbook! Hope you enjoyed this frugal recipe test drive! :)

My aunt makes these with Special K and calls them "K Bars". If you have some B1G1 free boxes from the coupon, it's a good way to use them!
