Frugal Dinner Ideas

DH and I have been doing some creative cooking lately! And when I say creative, I mean - we're eating from the pantry/stockpile and trying to use what we have. It's easy to get takeout or fast food when you're short on time and you want to eat soon - but it's also just as easy to make a quick meal at home - right?

Here's some old favorites that we've made for dinner over the past few weeks:
  • French Toast
  • Chocolate Chip Pancakes
  • Egg sandwiches
  • Grilled Cheese
  • Quesadillas made with leftover chicken, vegetables and black beans
  • Homemade pizza using a Betty Crocker" just add water" crust (with feta cheese, artichokes and tomatoes - all things I had on hand!)
  • Macaroni and cheese from a box (great with additions like bacon and broccoli)
Have you made anything from your stockpile lately? If so, let me know! :)

LOL - we had Betty Crocker-crust pizza last night - even though we could've gotten takeout. Topped with provolone, mushrooms, and minced garlic - it was delish! (And I like keeping those extra$15 in my pocket!)
