I spend a lot of time in front of the computer every day. I work full time and also spend a few hours each night answering email, writing for this blog, and working on other projects. So I was very excited when I was contacted by the founders of Break Pal to test out their new product!
Break Pal is an exercise, or rather 'deskercize' program designed to get you up and moving. The program begins by downloading a widget that sits on your desktop. The widget pops up every 15, 30 or 60 minutes (you decide) and you can pick out an exercise to try. According to co-founder Phil Weaver, at the end of a typical 8 hour day of these exercises, you will have accomplished 45 minutes of exercise! (Without stepping foot inside a gym!) :)
The stretches themselves were easy and interesting. And they are adding new exercises all the time! My only complaint was that I had some issues navigating the web site and downloading the widget onto my computer. But after some navigating, the program became easy to use.
Does this sound like something you'd like to try? Phil and Liz Weaver have offered to give away full memberships to 5 Frugal and Fabulous readers! (Memberships typically cost $9.95 a month!)
