Walgreens - I love free eyeshadow!!!! 2/11/09

Went to two Walgreens to stock up on Fusion Razors - my handsome husband will have the smoothest face in Massachusetts! :)

Trans 1:
  • 1 - Fusion Razor= $8.99 (Buy razor get $6 in RR) used $4/1 MFC (from Sunday's P&G) = $4.99
  • 4 - Revlon Matte Eyeshadows (Revlon on sale $3 off regular price = $1.99) used four $2/1 MFCs (check Sunday's Smart Source!) = FREE (Fourth coupon beeped but cashier put in manually - YMMV) *It beeps because they are $1.99*
Total: $5.20 ($.20 tax) paid with Walgreens ES giftcard
Received $6 RR for Fusion

Trans 2:
  • 1 - Fusion Razor= $8.99 (Buy razor get $6 in RR) used $4/1 MFC from Sunday's P&G = $4.99
  • 3 - Revlon Matte Eyeshadows (Revlon on sale $3 off regular price = $1.99) used four $2/1 MFCs = FREE
Total: $5.20 ($.20 tax) paid with Walgreens ES giftcard
Received $6 RR for Fusion

**** WALGREENS - NEWBIE TIP: You can't use the $6 RR from the razors to buy more razors - your second RR won't print. The same goes for most products that produce RR's.****

I tried to use a $1 MC on the $.99 toothpaste and the manager would not allow the cashier to take it. I wish these stores would be consistent. Most of the time they will adjust the cpn down, but not this time. It's aggravating.

Trina,
Ask them to price modify the item to $1.00 and then use the $1.00 coupon - it should work! A Walgreens manager told me that once and it's worked like a charm ever since. :)
And I know what you mean about varying coupon policies!
